All too often we find that companies send managers on management training and front-line staff on front-line training, and never the twain shall meet !
Why not simply extend management training to all staff? Does this not then allow the staff to fully appreciate what the manager is trying to do? The only thing that prevents this approach is cost. We solve that problem by encouraging all our clients to allow all staff access to all our content. This ensures transparency, consistency of message (particularly where there are multiple locations) and provides all staff with the same context.
We create learning programmes for our clients, rolling out one specific area or focus every two or three or four weeks (and therefore providing all staff with access to the material).
